Community and Commercial Microgrids
Our community microgrids provide renewable energy for improved sustainability.

Riverbend Road, London Ontario, Canada
The West 5 community of London-Ontario consists of over 2,000 townhomes and apartments, powered with renewable energy from our custom-designed microgrid.
Energy consumption needs are growing with the expanded use of electric vehicles, and we’ve embarked on a feasibility study of creating an external direct current microgrid to provide additional renewable energy to the community.
Our research partners include the University of Waterloo and the University of Western Ontario, and financial support for the study is provided by the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM), and the Green Municipal Fund (GMF).
We’re responding to our partners’ needs with the goal that the West 5 community is a city fully powered by renewable energy.
